Daily Routine

6.00am

 Max arrives to feeds the horses. He checks every horse, straightens their rugs and ensures they’re happy and healthy. If they haven’t eaten up, drank their water or any signs of ill health, Max will take their temperature immediately. 

6.15am 

Staff arrive and begin mucking out their allotted horses. Every member of staff look after the same 6 horses every day. 

Once they’re mucked out, the staff come to the tack room to look at the riding out board which Max puts together allocating horses with riders for the day and sent off on their pre determined exercise. 

11.30am

Once riding out is complete, the yard is then tidied, swept and every horse individually checked. Lunch is fed at 12.30pm and the staff head off for their lunch break. 

3.30pm

All the staff come back from their lunch break and begin mucking out their allocated horses. Every horse gets brushed head to toe, hoof oiled and checked over by their groom. Max then checks every horses legs along with their general wellbeing. 

5.30pm 

Every horse gets checked and the staff head home. Max will feed the horses their supper and ensure every horse is comfy, warm and happy for the evening. 

10.00pm 

Max or a member of staff will quietly wonder around the yard to ensure all the horses are settled and happy before bed.
