The racing break ended on Saturday and 3 weeks flew by. We headed to Market Rasen with 2 runners
Dear Dot ran nicely to finish 3rd on her first start for the yard. Possibly a career best for her and hopefully she can take a step forward for the run.
No Guarantee also ran a career best finishing 2nd behind a improving horse. He will win a race soon!
And before the racing break, our horses have been consistently running well.
Land Girl’s Luck continued her upwards trajectory with a good run at Uttoxetter. She never got a clear run and as soon as the opening appeared, she finished extremely well and didn’t have a hard race. I feel for Freddie Mitchell, who gets on so well with LGL, who was stuck in traffic on the way to the races but luckily Jamie Brace could step in and took over the reins.
Kaproyale ran a respectable race at Worcester, travelled into the race strongly but stopped quickly. A dirty scope post race answered all the questions we needed to know and we will get him back on track.
Jullou de Grissay ran well again to finish 4th. Hes been incredibly consistent since joining us last year with form figures of 1,1,3,3,2,4 in the 6 raes he’s had for us!
Back to the yard…
The winter horses have slowly started to come back into training ready for the winter months. They’ve all summered fantastically well considering the lack of grass this summer. Our team has worked hard giving the horses hay and hard feed while there’s been no grass.
Staff are also back from their holiday and ready to be kept busy through the winter.
We hosted an owners BBQ last week which was brilliant fun. Luke Brougham entertained us with his fantastic live music, the BBQ food was tremendous and everyone had a great time. We thoroughly enjoy hosting owners events and its a pleasure to bring everyone together and celebrate success together.
Finally, we have a few horses for sale currently. Please take a look at our horses for sale page for more details.
Have a great week
